CalcModern is a free, privacy-first collection of 150+ online calculators covering finance, health & fitness, mathematics and everyday conversions. We built this platform because we believe everyone deserves access to fast, accurate calculation tools without pop-ups, paywalls or privacy invasions.
Our Mission
Most "calculator" websites are slow, cluttered with intrusive pop-ups, or bury the actual answer below paragraphs of filler text. We built CalcModern to do the opposite:
- Load instantly — Our pages are statically generated and optimized for speed, scoring in the top percentile of Core Web Vitals.
- Give you the answer you came for — The calculator is always front and center, with clear results displayed immediately.
- Explain the math clearly — Every calculator page includes a plain-English explanation of the formula used, so you can verify the math yourself.
- Respect your privacy — We never collect, store or transmit your calculator inputs.
How Our Calculators Work
Every calculator on CalcModern runs entirely in your browser using plain JavaScript. We do not send your inputs to any server, and we do not store your results. The formulas used are documented on each calculator page, sourced from widely accepted public references.
This client-side approach means:
- Results are instant — no network latency.
- Your data never leaves your device.
- Calculators work offline once the page loads.
- No rate limits or usage caps.
Editorial Standards
Accuracy is our top priority. Every formula we implement is sourced from established, peer-reviewed or widely accepted public references:
- Finance: Standard amortization formulas, IRS tax brackets, FINRA-approved ROI methodology.
- Health: Mifflin–St Jeor equation for BMR/TDEE, WHO BMI classifications, U.S. Navy body fat method, Karvonen heart-rate formula.
- Math: Textbook-standard formulas for statistics, algebra, geometry and probability.
- Conversions: NIST and SI standard conversion factors.
When a topic has multiple accepted methods, we pick the most commonly used one and clearly state which method we use. If you find an error, please let us know — we take accuracy seriously.
